A Hidden Gem on Washington

I went 4 days with a regular manicure without a chip. How????? And on day 5, when chips actually did start to show, they were so tiny I didn’t feel the immediate need to grab the acetone and wipe them clean again. It was an impulse mani/pedi while on a walk down Washington and I’m so happy I tried Modern Nails! They had many colors to choose from and, although I didn’t get the Essie long wear, they had such a big selection. Most salons I’ve been to carry about 20 long wear colors tops.
After taking way to long looking at colors, only to choose my usual beige that I love so much, I got started on my pedicure. Everything was perfect. For a basic pedicure, I got a hot stone treatment, a really nice leg and foot massage, and plenty of time soaking in the nice warm water. Feet are still looking great (for feet) a week later.
The manicure was just as great. I asked her to cut and file to get all my nails down to the same length because a few broke, so they are shorter than I would like, but still look amazing. Again, she took plenty of time too shape, push and cut cuticles and give a little hand massage. Lovely and relaxing and nails are still looking wonderful.
When I sat at the drying station, I got a quick back massage and left feeling amazing, all for $25 + tip. I will absolutely be back.

I just moved here and went on a whim. Place was big, modern and bright with a great color selection. I wanted a multicolored frenchie. My technician helped me pick out the colors and did a fantastic job. Everyone was nice and very reasonably priced. So yes, I’ll be going back for sure.

I’ve been here several times and have had a great experience every time. They stay busy but they’re system is great and you never have to wait long.
I get UV gel by Sun. I have to say Sun is absolutely incredible. She is kind and she does such an incredible job. She takes her time and cares about the details. Thank you Sun! See you soon!

I never had a go-to nail salon. There were places that I liked more than others so I would come back there, but it always felt like a conveyer more than anything else. But I seem to have found my all-time favorite spot. Lupe really took her time with me, perfecting every little thing – I had such good experience, and left very satisfied.
That being said, this place is busy! Make sure to get an appointment, come a little early, and prepare for a slightly longer than average session. But it’s really worth it.
